I've lived my whole life close to the water and I feel its pull on my heart and soul every day, so Dreamer No. 24/100 is really special to me. This was commissioned as a piece based on Dreamer No 8 (from this project) in shape, but with inspiration derived from the ocean ๐

The dowel is a piece of foraged driftwood from a Pacific Northwest beach, the feathers are reminiscent of those of seabirds, a beachy twine accents the feathers and the hoop, the webbing is made from twine with a ribbon of silver in it to reflect light like the water and small rock-like beads are intertwined in the yarns to catch the light as well, and the colors were chosen to feel like the way the water often carries a gradient of color as light and depth change.
